Songbook

The Birchwhisper Songbook is a small collection of songs, that can be called Roots Music, arranged simply for guitar.

It is written for anyone who wants to play — beginners, self-taught players, and those who sing along.

Format

Each song is written as a table with two columns. On the left: the lyrics and structure (verse, chorus, instrumental, bridge). On the right: the chords and their measures. No standard notation. No tabs to decode. Just what you need to play and sing.

The chords and measures are fixed. The singing is free.

What’s inside

• Roots music songs — folk, ballads, spirituals, sea shanties
• Children’s songs — simple, singable, for the youngest players

All songs are in the public domain. All arrangements are my own.

Editions

The songbook grows slowly. The first edition is small. New editions will add more songs, in their own time.

Edition I — coming soon.
